This year, we decided to put in a festive mood in Vienna, Austria. The Rathausplatz Christmas Market is one of the best in Europe - more than 150 wooden stalls with toys, decorations, delicious food and drinks. Truly amazing place to be this time of year.
We spent two days in Vienna and managed to make a small photo tour around the city. On day one we visited the Prater park, Hundertwasser House, Spittelau waste incineration plant, Belvedere Palace, Vienna City Park with Kursalon and Johann Strauss monument and finally another Christmas Market at Schönbrunn Palace.
On day two we walked around Vienna’s old town where you can find sights like State Opera, Wiener Konzerthaus, Wiener Pestsäule, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Mozart Statue in Vienna Burggarten, Neue Burg, Hofburg Palace, Burgtheater and many more along the way. Not to mention the Town Hall, where the Christmas market was held.
Last but not least, something for aviation enthusiasts - before taking off from the Vienna Airport, it is worth visiting the Visitors Terrace with great view of the airport area. You can find all the photos from this trip available for free at Piviso.
